So,we've had ourselves a pretty busy summer people! We have had an amazing time and I feel that the band are playing better than ever and can't wait to get into the studio and record some new stuff. We've been writing some great new songs and now that Mr Adam Gammage has joined the band,it seems like The Hours are growing into something pretty fucking juicy!
Playing with U2 was an unbelievable experience and the reaction we got from the audience had filled us with confidence and spurred us on to get working on new stuff as soon as possible.

It was such a buzz, playing in front of so many people, and seeing them with their hands in the air showing their appreciation as we finished the last fist pumping bars of Murder or Suicide in all those big stadiums is something I will remember till the day I die. I really felt that the sound of our songs worked in that big environment and that we got a lot of love.

U2 were just breathtaking every night. I know that probably sounds a bit ass kissy, but it's not an opinion,it's just a fact. They have got so many beautiful and powerful songs in their arsenal, and every night they would swap it round a bit so you never knew what to expect. They are a band at the top of their game after 31 years together, and that is just a pure phenomenon that no other band on the planet can lay claim to.  We also got to meet those lovely fellas from Elbow and listen to their amazing songs in a stadium. They are an inspiration to us,it took the world four albums to finally realise that they are one of the best bands this country has produced in the last 20 years(I hope it doesn't take that long for us but you never knw these days). Guy Garvey is an amazing singer and lyricist, and the rest of the band are equal to his brilliance. We also met Glasvegas, and got to see them play three times. James is a very special geezer, and sings his heartfelt songs with such guts and conviction that at times it feels like he's gonna burst open and spill his insides all over the stage. It was humbling sharing the stage with musicians of such conviction, but I must admit that we felt very at home in their company. We are The Hours,we mean what we say. Every note. Every beat. Every syllable. It's how we began and it's how we'll carry on. We're just getting started. Bring on tomorrow...I can't fucking wait...Love to all you beautiful folk out there...Ant xx

Bring it on! Im so pissed off I missed the U2 gig in Glasgow, if only to see you guys on the claw stage. Sat and listened to the gig in my back garden and could make out some of the U2 stuff. Great to hear you are going to work on new stuff- can't wait. Cant help but feel the music scene needs a band like the Hours to deliver at the moment. There is sadly not a lot of REAL HEARTFELT WE FUCKIN MEAN IT sentiment out there. You guys have it and can deliver-as you have done over the last couple of years. You have fresh opportunities with the people that have caught you at U2, Kasabian, Tin the Park and  Oasis so go and get em boys! Difficult third album? Is it fuck- im sure Ant and Slats are just getting warmed up. Get the detail of the first album and the polish of the second album molotov cocktailed into a sceamer of a third and you are there! Im waiting for you at the Barrowland ( long overdue) -now there's a thought Ant! I will buy the Red Bull. Just get me on the guest list (ha ha) and i will get a babysitter so I can bring the missus this time!

Love and rockets, Norrie
