Good Morning! So today I got to meet and talk to a lot of young girls that are Freshman and Sophomores in high school. Most of them are from my hometown and went to my high school, Los Alamitos. So I think there were like 25 of them - wow it was a big group and I gave them a tour of the station then talked to them about how I got in radio.
This is a story that I have told many times... and in my head doesn't seem that exciting and here I had 50 eyeballs staring up at me so curious about this radio world. I explained that hard work does pay off and how important it was to go to school and graduate from college. I kept forgetting how young these girls were... 14-15 years old! They have their whole lives ahead of them and can truly become anything they want to be. Wow... I just hope I inspired them some how to pursue their dreams.
I guess it's never too soon to start thinking about your career riiiight?
