Turn my head, this window
I have leant against it so many times
A blue-white swirl, unfurled
I have watched the clouds play so many times

Thick, shielding glass
Outlined in black
I wonder if you've ever read my mind

How many times have I stared into God's eyes
Without ever knowing He had already found me
And I was searching for Him in vain
How many times have tears streamed from my eyes
When I felt hopeless, forsaken, alone in me
And God was sympathizing in the rain
How many times?

Blink my eyes, this sorrow
I have succombed to it so many times
An apathy unknown, ingrown
I have played with it so many times

Thick, shielding glass
Outlined in black
I wonder if you've ever read my mind

How many times have I stared into God's eyes
Without ever knowing He had already found me
And I was searching for Him in vain
How many times have tears streamed from my eyes
When I felt hopeless, forsaken, alone in me
And God was sympathizing in the rain
How many times?

How many times have I asked if You believed
But never heard You replying me
Telling me this was Your dream
And it was everything You were storing
For my life specifically

How many times have I cried in my own arms
About my own doubts, own fears, owns harms
Asking where You were, why You weren't helping
When You had Your arms outstretched
Shielding me from my own demons
When You had Your arms outstretched
And died for my own sinful treasons
How many times have I felt unloved
Though You were whispering from above
"I love you"
How many times?

How many times have I stared into God's eyes
Without ever knowing He had already found me
And I was searching for Him in vain
How many times have tears streamed from my eyes
When I felt hopeless, forsaken, alone in me
And God was sympathizing in the rain
How many times

How many times have I stared into God's eyes
Without ever knowing He had already found me
And I was searching for Him in vain
How many times have tears streamed from my eyes
When I felt hopeless, forsaken, alone in me
And God was sympathizing in the rain
How many times

How many times?
How many times?

How many times have I felt unloved
Though You were whispering from above
"I love you"
How many times?
This time I hear You
So tonight let me sing to Your sky
Staring straight into Your eyes
"I love You, too"

How many times?
