Rodney says "go to the Roxy on Thursday, October 29th to see the Dollyrots, Woolly Bandits, New Fidelity and We Should be Dead.  Get there early!"  Also mentioned the article in the LA WEEKLY about The Woolly Bandits - check it out!

Sorry folks, but if these Crooked Vultures were the "big surprise", pass me the sleeping pills next time. They sucked, second generation Wolfmother, as does anything involving Nirvana alumni, whom the shaggy white trash shoulda blown away with him! Fortunately we were compensated moments later with a blast of early Dollyrots!!! Granted, it was almost an hour before Halloween got into full swing (and if Antsy Pants were trying to mock-up The Shaggs, they damn near pulled it off!), but who else could have nightmared a better set!

To those wishing to hear the ORIGINAL theme from The Green Slime, the scorching psychedelic from the drummer for the surf band "The Challengers," Richard Delvy, check out;

and if you'd like your own copy of "How To Become a Sensuous Witch (1971)", as mentioned by Pleasant Gehman;

Oh yeah, and the Rod Man was wondering WEHT Monsters Are Waiting. They have a page on here, in addition to their running website, and are still at it as far as I can tell -- may still be in need of a new guitar player.

RODNEY is classified as a "specialty show"...but his Oscar (and Halloween) programs are special...
Cramps,Ramones,and Josie Cotton...all great....and October Country.

But I'm glad that I hear "Bela Lugosi's Dead" only once a year...the onetime co-owner of the long-
defunct "3D Ballroom" (Waikiki,Hawaii,ca. 1982), Kim Bloss,used to get drunk...and played this
song over and over for about a couple of hours after closing time...I had to listen to that nonsense,
LOL!! But that's a long story...I won't go into details....However,this short-lived "new wave" club in
the Islands (other was Wave Waikiki) did host some good acts,such as Unit 3 With Venus.
