It’s been a pretty busy year so far. We’ve been so happy with the reaction to “Rattlin’ Bones”. The tours have been going great, and the ARIA nominations are a true bonus we weren’t expecting! We’ve travelled almost all over Australia, we just got back from a hectic trip to the US, New Zealand is drawing closer, and there’s still a few more places to play in Australia before the year’s end. Despite our jam-packed schedule, I managed to find 14 days between trips to set up in my little studio at home and record a new album. I gotta say, I had a great time making this record. I immersed myself in my own little world, and for the first time, made an album completely on my own, for better or worse. It was a good experience, and I learned a lot. It was a very quick and “under-produced” approach to recording. Nash mixed it at his studio for me, and he made it sound like I knew what I was doing all along. The word is that next month it should be sitting on a few record-store shelves around the country. It’s called “Familiar Ghosts”. P.S.
