Mess+Noise Review
Sixty-Nine only takes Kiosk thirteen minutes. For a young band that is really efficient. As cymbals (and systems) crash, singer Cat Food sings Oh-Oh-Ah-Oh with a proud mixture of temptation and disgust. Shes probably just out of her teens, but sounds 32 going on 58 pretty potent stuff. A. Bones works the guitar like Silly Puddy. Her repetitive guitar licks and basslines pop pills of rubbery rhythm. Jack All, a shorts person, drives the drums, producing a clattering thrilling pulse. The live tunes act kind of harsh on my buzz, but they have a point. Kiosk basically grew up in public, on a stage, in a club, fumbling their way to glory. And given the strength/giddy fury of the three, new recordings Fuck Dudes Murder and Im Floored they are graduating to some seriously hot rock.
