well, only cassettes, dating back to 1978! some playable but you woudln't want to bother!
others practically unplayable and you may want to make the effort. they will be sorted out before they're thrown out. A copy of a track blancmange and yazoo started but never finished. A really old song called leek and potato soup (neil named his canary after the soup, the birds name was shortened to spud). also found an early 1/4" master tape of some of our early work along with lots of photos. found some funny badges too. lots of dust!

keep well.

Hi Neil,

nice to hear from you. Oh I miss your great voice a long time so far! "Suitcase" is one of my favorit ever albums!
I love also "persian blues" from fortran 5. A very good song! ...
but now a question: "what is wax?" I have the original german first pressing from 1997 an CD. long before he comes out on re-release. The waiting-list for this item is very long. 5 years I must waiting for.

wax cylinder was an early commercial way of recording sound . edison sold wax cylinder recordings circa 1895.

so, i was joking about our first recordings!

A Blancmange/Yazoo collaboration?  Wow!  That would be worth hearing!

As for releasing old 'tape material'... why not?  (My main man) Richard H. Kirk seems to have done it to great effect in the past few years. ;-)

"Leek and potato soup","I'm having a coffee"...Sounds like a whole concept album is "in the pot"...
I'm currently "boiling" to hear it ;-)

BTW, is it only stereo regular cassettes or do you happen to have any multi track cassettes like Tascam or Fostex used to make in the 80s?I owned one but not for long...
Anyway, stereo or not, they tend to loose some magnetic particles as time goes by, but with adequate mastering it should be fine...

Sorry, should have paid more attention to the pictures comments :-)
Well it's good news, considering I guess you have a stereo "tracking" of the instruments plus the vocals separated, add a little digital cleaning to this and it will sound as good as new ;-)
