Yo yo yo yo, what’s the skinny, bboys and bgirls?

This distinctly Mediterranean weather has us all on flying form at the mo, so long may it continue. We played last Thursday at the Oxjam benefit along with the Rambleers (quality rock n roll), the Deadly Nightshades (Bray city’s finest ethereal electro skapop) and the Hot Sprockets (country dirt at its finest) A great night was had by all, and on a personal note, I was well impressed with the Nightshades, it was the first time I’d seen them, and they were quality (go-on the bray!)

Last Sunday we were very cordially invited to play at the relaunch of the Sunday Roast in the Globe on Georges St. I love the Roast, and they’ve always been great to us, so it was an honour to play at the relaunch. Kieran and John were there usual fantastic selves and we had a blinder of a gig in a very hot and sweaty Globe. Thanks to everyone who came up to say hello after the show, it was great to get such positive feedback.

This is usually where I start my rant, but I’ve gotta be honest, with all this good weather I’m feeling the good vibes, AND we’re off to Holland to play this weekend, so I’ve nowt to moan about. Yes indeedy, Red Kid are off to the land of sexy football, Van Gogh and legal chunky nudge for three days worth of gigging, drinking and floating. I’ll be back bright and early next week to give you the low down on all our shenanigans. So, not much left to tell you other than we’ve been nominated for a Balcony TV award for most entertaining act. I’m sure anyone who knows us will remember that we appeared naked by request to celebrate the launch of our album last year. Well, that’s the BalconyTv clip that’s been nominated. (I personally think it was down to my fashionable pants) It’s our third year running in the nominations. We’ve never won before, so here’s hoping that third time (and my pants) are a charm!! Keep checking here for details of the awards ceremony, which will be announced shortly.

Ok red lobster cult members, I’m off to hide from the laser beam in the sky,

yeah, awesome week it was, enjoy Amsterdam
and good luck with the Balcony TV Award...tough one it is, with an illusionist that can predict the future, Dubliners dressed as Pandas, Aslan and...hm...a poet....but I'm sure the sexy knickers will make it
