Last Rites Gallery presents it's second annual 13th Hour Exhibit!
On October 24th, our Last Rites Gallery presents it's second annual 13th Hour
group exhibit, celebrating the Halloween season. The show features artists from
around the globe, working in an array of mediums including painting,
photography, sculpture, and film. Among the talent included in this exhibit is
Chet Zar, who's work has been described by TOOL's Adam Jones as "A modern
twist crashing into a classical approach. Beautiful and scary";
David Stoupakis, who's Gothic surrealistic work has been seen on KORN's album
covers along with others; Shawn Barber, who, along with lecturing about
painting globally, has shown his dark, tattoo-inspired works on canvas around
the world. From gothic elegance to finely crafted grotesquery, the beauty
within the darkness is embraced and brought into the spotlight. The spirit of
Halloween has never looked so good!
The second annual 13th Hour opens on Saturday,
October 24th, 7-11pm at Last Rites Gallery, 511 W. 33rd Street, between 10th
