WRIF.COM
This is a five star radio station that is broadcast in Detroit Michigan. These guys have set the bar and it's going to be hard to top! Why is WRIF the number one streaming radio station?
* They do not play commercials on the stream [as most stations don't due to regulations]. They play... beleive it or not... music! Oh my! What a concept! So once you're hooked on WRIF [beleive me] don't be mad that the song stopped short... be happy! You were getting a song while Detroit was getting a commercial! Yay WRIF!
* WRIF streams in the media player, not your web browser. When your radio is in a web browser and your surfing the net, popping a new web page will launch in your radio player! Streaming through the media player alleviates this problem! Yay WRIF!
* WRIF has the best mix of old and new rock. Speaking from a Central Florida point of view, when was the last time you heard Tesla, Dio, Alice Cooper, Kiss and Cinderella on the air? Aerosmith's 'Adam's Apple' -not Dream On! Yay WRIF!
* Speaking once again from a Central Florida point of view.. We are being denied a song of killer proportions. Did you know Disturbed has covered Genesis' Land Of Confusion? Did you know it kicks ass? It's like Phil Collins on steroids! I'm so sorry we are not being exposed to that song here! I hope you will be exposed to it now. Just sit and listen for a spell. WRIF has it in hot rotation. Yay WRIF!
* This ranks real high in my book. I have NOT heard them play System Of A Down. I mean come on! Really! Hello? Who on God's green earth think's that is talent? Really?... Really? Who sucked who to get that nasty shit on the air? Yay WRIF!
* WRIF mentions local bands! Central Florida seems to want the local bands out of here. Shoo! Go on now! We're going to close all the venues. We will never talk about you on the air. Major bands are not born from minor bands. Take a hike. Local bands being embraced by music media? Yay WRIF!
Please do not get me wrong. I do like the local stations here in Central Florida. They are just inferior because of stations like WRIF being Superior.
