NEW ALBUM -- "By Request"
Finally, after 3 years, we have a new full-length CD! Finally, it's a recording that represents the spectrum of songs we've performed live: originals, covers, and Hawaiian -- all on one disc. And finally, this disc was recorded using multiple tracks -- a first for MAKENA. The project is called "By Request" because the songs were chosen for the positive responses they've received over the past months and even years. We're so thankful and excited about this step forward! "By Request" is $15.00 at shows, and will be $18.00 (incl. tax, s&h) when ordering online becomes available. "Tell Me," a MAKENA original (trk 2 on "By Request"), will be included in a film documentary premiering in May at the Japan-America Theatre in Los Angeles.

We've received inquiries about whether we will be touring. Of course, in order to do a tour, the shows and accompanying promotion need to be coordinated. If any of you either 1) know a reputable venue/promotor in a possible touring area and/or 2) want to help in making a tour a success, shoot us an email -- thegirls@makenamusic.com.
