Current mood:  excited
This weekend we had the amazing pleasure to perform as the opening act for Butch Walker at Webster Hall.  There are so many moments that we can talk about that it might take a 2 part blog to really fill in any necessary details that we all would like to highlight.  So, for now, here is a possible intro blog, or one that highlights the necessities at the very least!

I must being with noting that our day began and ended with the presence of a black cat.  For most people this may be worrisome for all of the superstitions out there in our culture, but I assure you that a black cat is good luck for b&tb!

We arrived at Webster Hall perfectly by 6PM on the dot because we are a wonderful nerd band who finds it necessary to be punctual.  I got a smile on my face when I had to tell the door/security-guy that we were here to perform at Webster Hall tonight.  And he said, "ok."  And then they opened the door for us and we brought our gear in.  I don't know if they're always that easy, but it seemed very simple.

Anyhow, we arrived at the end of Butch Walker's meet and greet with some fans who got to watch the sound-check and then get photos and something signed.  We managed to introduce ourselves to Butch before he went back to his dressing room and we took a picture with him.  You'll see that as our default pic, currently.

We waited a bit for the sound-check of The Films to be complete and then it was our turn.  Bernadette politely asked The Films is we could borrow their drumset and they said 'sure!'  Now this show is getting more and more exciting because we get to perform as our natural selves in front of hundreds of people.  The Films were also kind enough to lend us their bass cab in efforts to make our breakdown easier for the soundguys.

We shared a dressing room with The Films, all of whom we very nice and hospitable.  We wandered back and forth from the main floor of the stage and the dressing room, meeting up with our friends and family who were amazing enough to come see us debut at Webster Hall.  Eventually we figured out that we had to enter the stage a specific way and a very large security guard lead the way and massaged Bern's hand before we went on.

When we got out onto the stage to start our set the room was almost full and it was far beyond our expectations.  We played an amazing set and really showed what we can do.  I know that we all had a great time and the experience still seems a bit surreal.

There is audio and video documenting our set that is in the process of being edited.  It will be posted very soon.  Stay tuned!

Tell us about getting pulled over right outside the Lincoln Tunnel and almost getting towed because you had too many people packed into your car!

Talk about wandering the backstage hallways, from the green room to the stage, getting Spinal Tap-Lost -like Ninja Turtles through New York sewers! What did the stage manager say to you? How did he say it?

Tell the story about Bernadette falling on the way to the stage but not spilling a drop of water on her new dress! What did the security guard ask her when he helped her up?

Talk about the fire in the Lincoln Tunnel on the way home after Veselka!!!

I love you guys!!!
