Great, so Saddam is hung, we've been in Iraq for nearly four years with 3000 American soldiers gone, 600,000 Iraqis (military AND civilian- ie; men, women and children) dead, and we're still over there with no less insurgence and/or general social upheaval whatsoever as a result of our occupation/presence and warped attempts at "liberation".

Happy New Year

I enjoyed how the decision to execute Saddam followed a few days after extensive coverage of Iran hanging some dissidents in a square, when Iran did it it was 'barbaric', when our impotent Iraqi puppet regime did it, it was 'justice'.

There was a lot of coverage of coalition troops (may have just been British troops, actually) destroying a police station because we didn't agree with the Iraqi definition of policing. Afghanistan should be delighted that everyone seems to have forgotten about it frankly because all Iraq has to look forward to is a future of overbearing trigger-happy 'world police' continually slapping their wrists and making their decisions for them, whilst even moderate Iraqis throw in with extremists because hey, a few head scarves and beards is a small price to pay to get control of their own country again.

Well done world.
