Current mood:  optimistic

Thanks to everyone who came out to see us at the High Dive on Saturday! I can't think of a more lovely way to close the curtain on the first chapter of the band. Both Ms. Led and The Ruby Doe blew the doors off the place and our drunken flailings on stage terrified and confused far fewer people than usual, though that might be attributed to Stockholm Syndrome as much as anything else.

Now it is time for the beast to rest for a while. We will miss Larry and Stormi dearly and we will be hard pressed to find another bassist and drummer as talented in so many areas and as original in their playing as they are. We'll let you know when they start playing again with another project.

The Shorthand For Epic, if we are even still known by that name, that will someday rise from the deep and devour the dry land and leave all a desolate, icy abyss will likely look and sound quite different from the one that is now slouching off to the void to dream its unspeakable visions of blood and fire and ill-fitting slacks.

But: When a two-headed, six-legged, nine-assed calf of Onyx is sired in Luton and rises upright from its afterbirth speaking terrifying riddles and rude knock-knock jokes; When the sky opens up with a mighty crack and all the heavens are filled with unending "Who's The Boss?" reruns; When in every corner of the land, whispers of nightmarish elasticity and gauntlets of angry food can be heard; And when the massive, carnivorous Dire Horses of legend issue forth from their ancient subterranean tax shelters in Belgium;

LO! Lo, then, dammit! For you shall know the time of our return has come!!!

Also, there will likely be a myspace bulletin. Or twelve.

Thanks again guys!
XOXOXOXOXO (times a million)

I remember the first time I ever saw you guys, at the last Paradox show :] I was all trying to get your autographs on that poster (which is hanging on my wall looking amazingly cool right now), and that guy with the tuna tie and coffee filter on his head was dancing around (you guys gave him a free EP I think!).

That was like the best night of my life, thanks for being a part of it! I know you guys are going to go down in history as one of Seattle's greats :D

LOVE FROM
