Wednesday, September 10th, 2008 9:02 pm
New York, NY (September 10, 2008) – In most cases, perseverance is the key to success. There is a long list of people who've given up or who had the talent but never put it to use that you and I will never hear about, and their reasons for never moving forward will all vary. The tough part about staring down perseverance in the face, though, is that there's no guarantee that if you DO pursue your passion you'll ever get anywhere. But in any endeavor, moving forward and seeing tangible results is proof of concept. And THAT is what drives you toward your ultimate goal.
Knonam, our Round 4 Emcee Winner, has seen events and hardships that would make anyone want to quit. But through everything that he's encountered, had taken away from him or had to fight for, he's continued to write, record and perform music, reaching for any opportunity to make his ultimate goal a reality. Listen in as he discusses the meaning of his album, "Length of The Blade," the suicide of his close friend and how it affected him, being on tour with Brother Ali and Slug and why staying true to yourself is essential to perseverance and success. Duke also drops an exclusive freestyle. HIP-HOP!
