Hi Chaps,

It’s been two months since the release of “The Parallels Amongst Ourselves” and we’ve just returned home from our first headline tour for said record. So we’d just like to say that we are elated with the response to the album.

 My predictions (in a previous blog) about “Parallels” not exploding onto the music scene was correct, but we are extremely delighted with the passionate interest from good people we’ve met since it’s release. This was the whole point of the record. To release something that finds your heart rather that your feet (then bin). Sorry to those that wanted a chaotic hard rock album from start to finish, we just can’t please everyone.

To those that attended the launch and the tour shows thanks for coming down. We really appreciate the support. To those that came to the Annadale, you saw us do an encore. The part of the show you missed was that after “Acute” (second last song) we went off stage and had a fight about whether to do such an overdone, predictable act. I think the argument ended with Todd saying, “last show of the tour... fuck it.”

Anyway, I think we’ll be back to Sydney for Homebake in December. So all we have to look forward to for now is the upcoming hometown Capitol show on October 3, and writing the next album.
