As if it isn't enough getting over the random choosing of our "Inside Out" being used in the final scene in the last ever episode of "Gilmore Girls" (considered by many as one of the true great network tv shows of the 00's), and getting shout-outs / name-checked at two recent sold-out Los Angeles shows by both BRAKES (at Club NME @ Spaceland) and ART BRUT (at The Troubadour, frontman Eddie Argos proclaiming, in the middle section of hit single "Bad Weekend"  "The Mighty Lemon Drops..... Top Of The Pops"!! TWICE!) ..... anyway, there is more to report.

Firstly, our debut album "Happy Head", together with the US only mini-album "Out Of Hand"  (long out of print on CD) has been reissued as a 2 for 1 CD on Wounded Bird Records, officially licensed from Warner Bros / Sire. You can buy it here www.woundedbird.com, & the label has plans to re-issue all of the albums with much bonus / unreleased material in the near future.

Check this out: Rhino has compiled the stunning "THE BRIT BOX: U.K. INDIE, SHOEGAZE, AND BRIT-POP GEMS OF THE LAST MILLENNIUM" a 4 cd box set featuring the Drops "My Biggest Thrill"  (nestled inbetween The Cure's Just Like Heaven" and The Shop Assistants "Somewhere In China" on disc one). It is due in October AND it comes in a red telephone box with flickering l.e.d light! See the full track listing in all it's glory here  http://www.rhino.com/rzine/pressrelease.lasso?PRID=501 . Also USA Today ran a front-page Calendar feature on the box set last week &, out of the 100+ artists on the box, chose to run a late-period colour pic of us lot for some bizarre reason (I'd never even seen this damn picture before!!).

And finally, iTunes store now has all Mighty Lemon Drops albums up there ($9.99 each), including the seldom heard "Ricochet", the live on KCRW comp "Young Gifted & Black Country", & even the frankly awful "Sound" is up there (but you might want to avoid that one.... only brave men/women/die-hards go there!)!

Cheers: - Dave of The Drops.
