VIVA LAUGHLIN

NEW TIME!!!

SUNDAYS AT 8PM

STARTING OCTOBER 21

Hola, my Monkeys of Doom!  Well, the reviews and the ratings are in for my new show, Viva Laughlin.  And they both suck beyond the telling of it!  But hey, that was for the pilot episode, which yours truly had absolutely dick to do with.  Starting this Sunday (Oct. 21), you'll see MY glorious name as executive producer on the show, and rest assured my sticky little fingers are all over it!

We had a rocky start on this series (which, btw, is how Tyler Bensinger and I ended up getting promoted from co-execs to showrunners), but I promise you the shows get better and better.  If you can stick around (and we don't get cancelled) until episode four, your patience will be richly rewarded.

Hey, would I lie to you?

- DeKnight

And I trust you completely. And MY review of the pilot was that it was OK with potential. Potential which I am sure will be realized, now that you have your paws all over it.

8:00pm on CBS. Tonight. It's in my datebook.

OK, I watched it -- well taped it. And I was enjoying it and then the tape cut off to tape my 9pm show (this is what I was referring to in my previous "tough timeslot" comment on the first episode). Damn Sunday football throws the whole CBS Sunday night schedule off.

Anyway, I'm going to try to see if I can catch the end of the show online somewhere. But so far, so good. And the music is holding up, too.

Plus, Taryn Manning as the daughter -- priceless. And I'm really liking the cop and the murder mystery.

OK, just read about the cancellation -- after two episodes -- on different nights and the second episode delayed by earlier programming.

They sooo were not going to give this a chance.

ANNOYED NOW!!

Finally! You put up a blog for this. I missed the pilot episode. But hey what can one do if our overlord is a slacker for not putting up the day and time on it:)

I am watching the show right now. It is interesting from what I am seeing so far. To be honest, I am kind of Eh on musicals in general. But am trying to keep a open mind with this one.

Since you are producer now, is there any eppys coming up that you've written?

I'll stick with it and see what happens. Can't let my simian overlord being forced to write for America's Next Top Model after all.

BTW if this show does not work out, have you ever given thought to seeing if there is a slot open on the show Reaper? I mean it so suits your flair for dark humor. And it has gotten good reviews. I mean Kevin Smith directed the pilot even. Just a thought.

But anyhow you have my full support. Hope things are well and quit searching for porn all the time. Give an update now and then:)

Much Love,
Michael AKA The Doggfatha

Viva looks good! If it doesn't work out though...they're looking for writers for the next Superman flick. I'd say you're well-qualified...

Wow.. i have no idea where the rest of my post went.. But it made reference to the rich supernatural areas near by. And you know the usual babbling on. Congratulations Mr. Executive Producer!

Only if'n I can lie back:

The idea of a singing casino show is massively appealing to me and even if you had nothing to do with it, I would be every bit as enthusiastic about watching it.

Not a lie:

You do some damned quality work and even said singing casino show would be but an ankle-height hurdle for your talents. Bring on Sunday night and to hell with the housewives!

I finally had time to watch both episodes and I find out the show is cancelled after 2 episodes? Is this true?!

WTF.

CBS didn't even give you guys a chance to build your audience.

Sad but true! VIVA CRAPS OUT! We've been cancelled after a whopping two episodes. But never fear! I'm already in talks about several new projects. I'll keep you all posted!

Hey, DeKnight...

I'd be curious to hear about how you plan on weathering the strike storm...

Any words of wisdom or comments to make about that? Any plans to make blogs about it?

Stay strong.

So sorry about the cancellation. (How does VL get cancelled and "Cavemen" is still on the air???)

Anyhow, on to bigger and better things. Like your very own show, I hope!!!

Amen. I loathe our culture-less society who would much rather watch mindless comedy than an amazing musical series. Sigh.

Aw, that sucks man...

I know sometimes shows can start out rocky but I don't think the sunday slot did you any favors either...

You'll bounce back. You're a good writer and got good instincts, most of the time anyway. Exploding baby storylines aside...

;)

Sorry to hear about the Cancellation Steve. But at least you already have other options. Also, does it look like you guys are going to go on strike after Halloween?

Wouldn't mind seeing you back on Smallville. Although I still think that Reaper is right up your alley.

So, I checked out "Viva Laughlin" and loved it. And now I hear it's been cancelled after two eps????? How is that even possible? I was looking forward to finding out who killed Melanie Griffith's character's husband, and following the fate of the folks at the Viva Laughlin. It was so new and different! I was telling everyone about it at work and a lot of them had checked it out and agreed that it was good, too. So why????

I mean, there's so much absolute dreck on these days, can't we have a few really good shows???

Bummed Monkey of Doom, here. Please keep us posted what's next, eh?
