Here is what people are saying about Jen.....
"Edgier and Spicier Than Your Average Female Rocker"
Jen Elliott has been an energetic performer on the US indie/college scene and delivers her blues rock with passion and charisma. Jen likes to give something edgier and spicier then your average female rocker and this set of tracks demonstrates her ability to pull listeners. With her talented backing band, Bluestruck, she is sure to give value for money at her live shows.

"She is the Personification of the Rock'N'Roll Spirit"
Jen Elliott has that epic rock and roll goddess quality of all the greats: Pat Benetar, Joan Jett, Debbie Harry, Patti Smith. The best way to describe this quality is: it is the personification of the rock'n'roll spirit in a female body. Most of us music lovers have memories of moments when rock'n'roll saved us. Maybe we're driving down the road after a particularly difficult experience. And a song like "8 Days Down" comes on the radio. And we roll down our windows, crank up the volume and accelerate that old two-door Ford, imagining the wind and the music will purge us of our cares. Ah. I love rock and roll....Come out and free your soul.

S"oulful and Bluesy--Spitting Image of Rootsy Chrissie Hynde!"
Few rock singers -- male or female -- sound both soulful and bluesy circa the early 21st century. Jen Elliott manages to buck the trend on her sophomore release, 2006's "8 Days Down"....Although both musically and vocally it's easy to immediately assume that both the Rolling Stones and Bonnie Raitt serve as major influences, upon closer inspection, Elliott's singing is at times the spitting image of Chrissie Hynde (especially in her phrasing). Picture Hynde fronting a more rootsy version of the Pretenders, and it's not a far cry from such standouts as "Captivity" and "Full".

"A Blues Singer Who Totally Rocks"
Janis Joplin. Bonnie Raitt. Susan Tedeschi. All chick blues singers who totally rock. City Canyons Records' Jen Elliott follows in her foremothers' footsteps with her band Bluestruck.
