I just recently celebrated my birthday and Dubassy came to visit me in Valencia for the weekend. We had planned on doing a few photo shoots. For the last few weeks all Dubassy could talk about was his new Canon 5D. He talked about it like it were his girlfriend. He should, she’s expensive!

We decided to head to “La Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias” which translates to the City of Arts and Sciences. It's boasted as one of the largest science centers in Europe with futuristic architecture by Santiago Calatrava. One can not help to be drawn to the visionary landscapes. I love this place!








That weekend Spain and France were hit with unusual high speed winds of up to 100mph / 160 kph. Valencia was windy but it seemed bearable. We headed to the science center and scouted out some spots to do some timelapse photography.



Unfortunately for Dan and his new Canon 5D, a strong gust of wind knocked her over and she suffered damage to the filters. The camera kept shooting pictures and below you can see the beautiful cracked filter look.



Accidents happen so being prepared and aware is our best defense. In light of the this tragic mishap we could laugh about it later knowing that the camera body and lens survived unscathed. The filter was laid to rest later that evening.

thank goodness it was just the filter.. man those photos are absolutely maaaaad!!!!kinda like something you'd pull out of a sci-fi book or something.
