Here it was, there it goes.... summer is nearly over.  Hope yours was good!

I spent this summer writing songs and visiting friends and family.  No tours after our western trip in June, I played a show every few weeks... it’s been really relaxing and fun.  Now I want to get back to work!  Make a new album soon, whatever that means nowadays.... record some of these new songs anyway.  How they’ll be delivered to you has yet to be determined!

Next month will be a good one too,  we play a show at an outdoor amphitheatre in the Wendake reservation near Quebec City, we open for the Funk Brothers at the Southside Shuffle in Port Credit then we’re back in Toronto to play Hugh’s Room mid-month, with very special guest Paul Reddick.  You can see all the details on Myspace or at www.roxannepotvin.com.  Paul and I are also planning a European tour in the spring!  Dates are being added regularly, check back soon!

Coming up in October I’ll be making my now yearly trip down to New Orleans...  I can’t wait!  I’ll take pictures for you :)  In the meantime, hope you can make it to one of these shows.  Take care,

L’été (quel été?? dirons certains de vous...) tire déjà à sa fin.  J’espère que vous avez pu en profiter un peu!

J’ai passé mon été à écrire des chansons et à visiter mes amis et ma famille.  Pas de tournées après notre voyage dans l’ouest en juin, j’ai joué quelques spectacles ici et là...  un été reposant.  Maintenant j’ai envie de me remettre au travail!  Enregistrer un nouvel album bientôt (le mot album est utilisé librement) enregistrer ces nouvelles chansons du moins.  Comment elles atteindront vos oreilles ou votre ipod reste à voir!

Le mois prochain s’annonce bien, un spectacle dans un amphitéâtre en plein-air à la réserve Wendake près de Québec, une première partie des Funk Brothers au Southside Shuffle de Port Credit puis nous sommes de retour au Hugh’s Room à Toronto mi-septembre, avec Paul Reddick en première partie.  Vous trouverez les détails sur Myspace ou au www.roxannepotvin.com.  Paul et moi planifions aussi une tournée Européene au printemps!  Des nouvelles dates seront ajoutées régulièrement, revenez bientôt!
