Hey, thanks for checking out my site.  I appreciate your interest.  But I have to be honest:  I just haven't cottoned to this MySpace thing.  Call me an old fart, but I can't stand all the annoying ads flashing at me and the jumbled, ugly appearance of the home page.  I don't know who 90 percent of my 'friends' are.  And knowing that all the money is going into Rupert Murdoch's pocket doesn't help, either.

All the information anyone could want on me is at my web site, www.slaid.com.

My wife Karen Cleaves monitors this MySpace page.  She reads all the mail and comments, she responds when appropriate, and she passes messages on to me if they are important (or fun).

Again, I appreciate you stopping by, and I do check in from time to time, but mostly, I'm not here.

I'm on myspace mostly for the music. I really can't stand Rupert Murdoch either.

I'll check out the www.slaid.com site. You sound like an intelligent man, and your music is among the best stuff I've heard lately. I write poetry and I'd have to say your lyrics fall in that category.
Anyway just had to say I like your style. My wife says you're a lucky woman, Karen your husband's a handsome devil. I don't know if that's a compliment or not though. She thinks Johhny Cash, Waylon Jennings and me, are good looking too.
I'll be reading poetry in Austin March 28th at the Sheraton for a luncheon and Chris Wall has promised to show me and another couple of old teachers around the town, any suggestions for survival; I'm getting on up there.

Even If your not here we still love your music a bunch!

Sometime you both should come up to Montana and do a show or two.
We would love to have you.

Take care and happy hollidays
