God dag hälsningarna - or hello and greetings from Falling and Laughing.
While in Reddich recently enjoying the company of the wonderful Dom SSC we began to ponder the merits of Sweden. Dunc told stories of a far away land awash with mystical pop music, which is generally overlooked by the many lost souls of the modern music world. He was driven to write a song which we here in F&L gave musical power (this song is currently available to listen to at our myspace should you wish to hear).
On recording this song we pondered all other areas of Swedish existence that are generally overlooked and devalued. We're not talking about the bollocks that is IKEA and VOLVO
(although dunc would like to point out that he likes those two things. And Saabs). We are talking neutral status (yes Switzerland gets all the press for this and Sweden is overlooked!), massage but most importantly Anders Limpar. A man, once part of the Swedish football team, capable of genius, but soon forgotten and tossed into the abyss of our collective unconsciousness. Join us in a campaign to remember never to forget the unforgettable. Let Anders Limpar be a symbol not just for the Swedish people but for all. Let him represent those forgotten people: those taken for granted day in day out, left to fade into memories. Let us remember Limpar and let us build a brighter future.
If you decide to join us, seek us out at a gig and you will be rewarded with an Anders Limpar – Never Forget badge. (Campaigns like this must start small!)
Should you be one of those lost souls who prefers to pick the under dog from the sole of your shoe, then maybe you would like to join a future Falling and Laughing campaign. Soon to come: "Bring back rolling down hills" and "lights off in Birmingham for one hour each year"...
For now, Long Live Limpar

May Swedish peace reach all your lives.
