It's been a lot of work recovering from the corrupt hard drive failure in January but we are slowly getting there.

For those that do't know - we lost everything and our backups were corrupted as well as we had to start again with a new site. Bit gutting but sometimes its nice to have a fresh start.

I just wish I had more time to get things done - juggling between keeping the site updated, promoting the site and working on the technical stuff is fecking difficult, but once we get our news writers together again hopefully that'll free up some time to improve the site and add new features. At the moment though I'm doing it all myself.

I have a massive list of things I want to do with the site. Really want to make it a good place to discover new music, and want to get unsigned bands and new bands involved in the site. Also the content is the most important thing. More content the better. Keeps people coming back to read more.

I've put together the shopping section. It's an important section to the site because it really is our only source of revenues. It's not really aimed at the users of the site - although it does help us out if it is used. The main aim is to get the pages Search engine optimised so that the links come up in searches such as on google. For example, when someone searches for Oasis Merchandise on google - hopefully stereoboard.com will come up pretty high and they'll click through to our oasis merchandise page and buy something from our partners site. We then get a commission.

OK so heres an update on some new old stuff. I know a lot of people miss some of the features from the old site.

I'm putting the finishing touches to the Stereoboard Charts. That should be back this weekend.

Also by next weekend we'll also have the Music Videos section back on the site. I'm just dabbling with the old code now to try and get it ported across to the new site.

Still working on the photo galleries. That is a big task so I'll wait a few weeks before I get my head stuck into that.

The gig guide is just a data gathering excercise. But at the moment just don't have the spare time, but once I do that'll get worked on to.

If anyone wants to help out in anyway, just give me a shout and I'm sure we can't find something for you to do.
