Hi readers! Here's what's been going on in my writing world:

* All 5 parts of SABINE MEETS DEAD GIRL are up on http://lindajoysingleton.blogspot.com (2nd post). This won't stay up for long, so enjoy it soon!

* My editor gave me some major edits for #6 THE SEER, asking me to cut the opening which I think I posted here a while back about a ghost being summoned. My editor wanted me to connect the murder that Thorn investigates with Sabine's quest to save Josh from a magician cult. So I did -- and the book is better. Oh, and that opening I cut-- well I snuck it in later in a dream sequence. So cut writing isn't wasted, sometimes just rearranged.

* I'm writing Thorn's spin-off book, which may just be called A GOTH-GIRL MYSTERY. I only have 3 chapters. Today I worked on Chapter 3 introducing the guy who Thorn will fall in love with -- he's mysterious and hides his true identity. This book isn't due to my editor till April 2010 and then won't be out till 2011. But you're hearing the details here first (g).

* Check www.chriseboch.com under writers for a writing contest that ends on Halloween. I've hooked up with Chris (author of HAUNTED series) and Marley Gibson (author of GHOST HUNTERS) for this contest.

* Last Saturday I heard a panel of 3 real ghost busters speak -- and I'm trying to work it out to go on them sometime in the future to hunt for real ghosts. Fingers crossed this works out because I've never seen a ghost and I'd like to find out what it's like.

While you're waiting for the next SEER, don't forget to try my DEAD GIRL trilogy. And if you're read all of them, look on Amazon for DOUBLE VISION by me. Also check out Crhis and Marley's books which are very cool. So many fun books to read! Enjoy!

My students and I have all read all the Seer series, The Dead Girl series and Double Vision. We are seriously going crazy with the wait. In a middle school library, you never have more than 1, maybe 2 copies of any title. I have 18 copies of each book!! There are never any available for checkout. Please write faster!
Love, love, love these books.

Kathy, thanks for your wonderful comment!! I'm so happy your students enjoy my books -- and I'm impressed you even read DOUBLE VISION, which was published by a small press. If you'd like, I'll send you a fan packet -- send a mailing address to ljscheer@yahoo.com so I can mail one out to you (g).

#6 THE SEER comes out in September (although it might have an October pub date -- I'm not sure).

The next big thing will be the reveal of THE COVER. I'm hopeful and eager to see what the cover looks like--it'll probably have a magical wand for the picture image.

I'll let you know!
