Hello Kernels in the Supernova Popcorn Army,
We have already had a great April ... We need to give you an update on things we've already done and things we're gonna do.
First: April 5 - We played the Bamboozle Festival at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre - Thank you very much to those who found the stage that we played on ... We had a lot of great friends there to see us (Westchester was there and SHINY) and made a lot of new friends too. Thanks to all of you!
Then: After we played Bamboozle, we packed up our gear and took the spaceship to the House of Blues in Anaheim. On Friday, April 4, we were offered a great, last minute, opportunity to support Bad Religion at the House of Blues on Saturday April 5. We of course, said YES PLEASE. So after we played Bamboozle we flew on over to the House of Blues for a great show with HDR and Bad Religion. We made a ton of new friends, had a great show and a lot of fun. Before we played, no one understood the tinfoil we were handing out. After we played people were coming up asking for it and saying "now I want some tinfoil."
We also released a new t-shirt design in April. Its our first American Aparrel (softie-cotton) t-shirt. The design is another awesome design by our TOTALLY NECTAR friend and artist Tiki Thomas. Check out our default picture of the popcorn image, that's it. The inspiration for the shirt is, according to Wikapedia, that POPCORN is the official state snack of Illinois (did I spell that right?). What a shiny state snack ... Anyway, the shirts are awesome ... We are very excited about them.
For the rest of the month of April we'll be working in the practice room. Working on new songs. Recording demos and concentrating on the new record.
We have some fun shows coming up ... And we're firing up the space ship and heading out of state ... We're playing these shows:
May 2 - THE NOTE - Chicago, IL
May 3 - THE CHESTERFIELD - Sioux City, IA
May 23 - KNITTING FACTORY - Hollywood, CA
June 6 - GLASSHOUSE RECORD STORE - Pomona, CA
June 7 - PIZZA FACTORY - Riverside, CA
We hope to see you at all of these shows - wearing and throwing your tinfoil. We know that we'll be there ... You should be too.
We are still working on some more great rock shows - We'll announce them as soon as we can - Look for us in: San Francisco, Oakland, Fresno, Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Diego, Orange County, Portland, Seattle and other places ... YAY
Live Long and Popstar
I wanted to add that we are currently listening to: BAD RELIGION but I kept getting errors ... But its OK, myspace has been alerted, I'm sure it will be taken care of ...
