Excellent interview!

I love how some things become humorous when translated from one language into another!  ie "you play fuckingly well"

I can't wait to get this!  I need some new tunes in my truck!

I agree, Ares Kingdom does play fuckingly well.  In fact, "Fuckingly Well" is now entering my lexicon.  I'll use this word pairing often.

And one thing I'd like to add about the interview, and something I don't think I've often see come up in interviews, but its hinted at by Chuck just how long the guys in Ares Kingdom have known each other, let alone been in the band.  Their friendships predate the band by decades.

Alex was a high school kid who came around to watch Order from Chaos practice on friday nights, starting around 1990 or  '91.  He remained in the social circle around the band from then on.

Doug was a friend of Chuck's as far back as the mid to late '80s.  Always around the Roadhouse (OFC Headquarters) for the drunken mayhem that followed practice.

And of course, Chuck and Mike go back all the way to Kindergarten, they met 35 or 36 years ago, the early '70s.  It could be argued that they've jammed together more than 30 years now since they were in Band together in elementary school.  And I recall that they jammed in a few attempts to form a band in high school.

I don't know how the Ares Kingdom lineup exactly came together, other than it was almost a natural reflex that Chuck and Mike team up (at this point I'd wager they read each others minds while performing).  The first Ares Kingdom demo was the just the two of them.  Perhaps I should ask Chuck next time I see him, did he actually audition Doug and Alex, or did he just call them and say "We have work to do."?

I think this is one of the key components to the band.  The tight bond that comes from decades of friendship.  The dedication and loyalty they each have towards each other, towards Chuck's musical and artistic vision, and towards their own place within it, is something that so many other bands lack and should take a lesson from.

Hail Ares Kingdom!
