Hello to all out there in blog land. How is everyone doing? Has it been forever since I blogged or what? In truth, I decided to take a much needed break from all the band stuff and just enjoy the summer. The AG Reunion just drained me. I literally lost a Summer putting that together. Don’t get me wrong, it was worth it. This summer I did a lot of fishing, shooting at the gun range with Mark , and many beers at the pool. Not necessarily in that order. I had a really good summer. It was nice to take a break. I hate so see warm weather go. I don’t mind the Fall. But, as you all know, I hate cold weather. Winter is not for me anymore. One of these days I’m gonna find me a place for 4-5 months out of the year away from it all. Cabo from October to April sounds awesome doesn’t it?
Anyway, let’s move on.
First off the band’s upcoming 4th CD is moving along a little better. Rob’s departure slowed things down a little but we are back up and running at full power now. The new songs are sounding good and I am excited about the new material. I was growing tired of the older stuff . Something new keeps us all excited about AG. I think the new songs are gonna be worth the wait.
No new bassist yet. We decided to finish the CD first. The bass position will have to wait for now. It has unfortunately always been a revolving door. I hope we can find someone who will fit in with us. It is tough to find the right ingredients. I really miss Rob, but he wanted to move on and do some things where he was more out front. Most of the bands he has been in, he was the lead singer. I am happy to have been able to play with him. I wish him the best. We had a great 4 year run with Rob. I only wish he would’ve held out and shared this next CD release with us.
We have had some bad luck with our computers too. They crashed in the middle of recording and we had to replace some hardrives. That slowed things down too. It is always one thing after another with our recording luck.
However, we are 8 songs into this project and the writing process is flowing quite nicely right now. I am confident that we will be finished and ready to get back out around late Spring. I am hoping after Easter. That’s is the plan anyway. Maybe sooner. I try not to put a time frame on anything right now. Mark is climbing the walls. Ken and I are pretty content right now. But the itch is always there. Always will be. We are shooting for 10-12 songs on the new disc. So I guess we are past the halfway point.
Let’s talk music and movies a little bit.
I have been listening to a lot of John Mayer. Check out “Live In Los Angeles”. It is on DVD and CD. Fantastic stuff. He is more than the pop artist that everybody hears. He is a great guitarist and his band smokes. Check it out. The new Kiss CD isn’t bad either. I wanted to hate it but I can’t. Screw you Gene. Lastly, make sure you check out this archive classic. Pat Travers – “Go For What You Know”. He is one of my guitar heroes. He is bad ass. Got to meet him a couple times too.
I have watched quite a few movies lately. Nothing really worth shouting about. “State Of Play” with Ben Affleck wasn’t bad. I usually watch a small handful of Horror flicks around this time of year. Check out “Trick Or Treat” (1986) It is an old 80’s flick. Campy horror at it’s finest. It has Gene Simmons and Ozzy in it. Marc Price is the lead role. He was Skippy in the TV series “Family Ties”. Also, "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre – part 2" is awesome. One of my favs. It is hilarious!!! Don’t take it serious. Bill Mosley is great in it. And, let's not forget another horror camp classic. “Killer Klowns From Outer Space”. Another fav of mine. It is cheesy awesome! The Evil Dead Trilogy is another worth checking out. Sam Raimi, who directed all the "Spiderman" movies, did the Evil Dead stuff. The horror movies of today are all violence. There is no suspense. They suck. The movie “Wrong Turn”? SUCKED!
And somebody please tell Hollywood to stop re-making movies. They all SUCK! The "Halloween" remake? Absolute shit. However, I must say that the King Kong remake was pretty cool.
I am finally on Facebook now. If any of you out there want to hook up on FB, look for me and give me a shout. I have some non-band stuff like fishing pics posted on that site.
Well, I have rambled enough. Time for laundry and a beer. Not in that order of course. LOL!
I wish you all a safe and Happy Halloween. Have fun and please be safe. Johnny Law does like to come out and play this time of year. If you have too much fun, please do not drive.
I hope to see you all soon. Take care and I will be back around the holidays with another update.
Keep checking back. Peace.
Drinks for all my friends!!!!
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLater.

Oh yeh, I almost forgot. I need to vent………………….. “FIRE CHARLIE WEIS PLEASE!!!!!!!”
There, I feel a little better. Not much, but a little.
