Current mood:enjoying being on the cusp of fame
hey picker's and pick-ettes, yer ol' pal fran is here with the latest news...really sorry if i have not been in cyberspace as i have been renovating my house and recording since we got back from europe...BRICK RAIN, the cd i played bass on with ULTRA VIOLENCE is doing pretty good from what i hear and UV just recorded 4 songs for a euro comp coming out towards the end of the year...the mighty BOX OF CRAYONS were just in a documentary about freddy's in brooklyn (me and brian get interviewed and i get a really prime spot or two in the film) also we did a video for the libertarian political show "HARD-FIRE"...came out ok but gary from the show was kind enough to give me the master takes so expect a new BOC video soon (that i am going to edit) for "over the side"...we have a ton of shows coming up but the main fun is our new cd GENERAL ACOUSTIC that is being fomented at this moment...a whole bunch of new songs that YOU HAVE NEVER HEARD plus some oldies i swear had been banished from our set list for about 12 years...now i like them again...a couple irish ditties, some kinda rock pieces, some love songs (not really, maybe MY version of a loov song)- might wind up to almost 20 songs...we are recording at cadaver studios by phil cadaver of the blame more well known for hard-core/metal recordings but we are gonna turn that place on it's EAR! we might be playing mandolins and acoustics but this album will probably be our most punk cd so far...you'll see- we will finally be in honda commercials and we are looking forward to selling out as quickly as possible...see you at sotheby's and nobu soon...'till then, cheers and beers, fran

Can't wait.......Brick Rain's pretty cool, but it's no Box Of Crayons record. I saw the Hard Fire show online but I've yet to see a copy of the Freddys documentary. I have a bunch of new songs (Moving Target, Sean Thornton, Fuckola...) that'll go on the album that was gonna be called Brisbane Road. I'll be recording soon as the current crop of gigs have been played and I've sorted out the front room (yeah, me too) Oh and I have a copy of the Brisbane Road single for you at last, so I'll be writing soon.......

dear steve...my gosh i have been a bit hiding from you as you did so much for us and i have been remiss to you as i have been really trying to make madonna proud and finish some major stuff in our house (very close) and have not got back to you  ...yeah UV is ok but ya know the crayons is me heart but people keep booking and paying for UV so i am in as long as it happens...the main thing is like the old punk scene UV were there when it happened so we can't be counted out in the NYC hard-core scene...and i wrote some new stuff for them which is going over good and it is fun to play with the boys to tell ya the truth..the boc cd is really going to be different and the same...a bunch of new ones but a couple songs i banished from the set 12 or 13 years ago...i like 'em again....hope every one is great.what is christine up to? ...how are the boys? ..the political climate in USA is very up in the air...so many hypocrites and out-ritght liars...very un-american really...man, i would love to sit and talk with you for a couple ours in a pub...hope we can soon, loov to all, cheers, fran
