Who Gives Kudos:

We all know this time of the year a little too well...mild disappointment that the summer is over and we didn't complete all of those little projects we had in mind. Back-to-school shopping takes way too much money and time and how did we get to the point where our growing children are entitled to looking like rock-stars at the beginning of every school year!?! I speak only out of observation; you might hear me whistling a very different tune in 10 years.

As you are diving back into routine activities with school, Bible studies, church, or whatever God has you doing, our prayer is that you would maintain the joy of the Lord in all things. Life is as full as we make it and we are foolish if we make ourselves miserable in the process. I'm slowly learning that I feel better about saying no to something than if I had said yes in order to please everyone! Life is busy and full of decisions, but we will only have Christ-centered direction if each day is soaked in prayer and meditation. Quality time with God is not five minutes in the morning, quality time is somehow quieting ourselves before the Lord and letting His voice sink in.

Psalm 91:1-4 "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty...He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart."

The end of the summer for us is a continued whirlwind. We are thankful to be busy traveling and singing, thankful that people still invite us to sing for them. As you look back on your summer memories I hope most of them are good. We have made many memorable, fond memories over the summer and over the next few weeks I hope to share a few of them with you.

In order to lighten up your mood and give you a glimpse of (again) how weird we really are...here's one of those memories we made over the summer.
