I thought it would be interesting to tell you guys about my history with webcomics...

My first venture into webcomics was a rather short one (six strips), it was during the beginning months of 2000. The comic was called Life with Fishnets it ran on the now defunct site called The Ink Spot which was about Norfolk Virginia's local Rocky Horror cast Fishnet Inc. Of the strips, 4 were written and drawn by Robert Koch and 2 were written and drawn by me and I also handled layout/color on all of the strips. There wasn't much too this, very unpolished but it was a precursor of things to come.

In June of 04' Robert Koch and I launched Bored and Evil. The hierarchy of this was very similar to Life with Fishnets... Robert did the pencil work and 99% of the writing, I handled vectorizing the work/layout/website. Even though Bored and Evil is still around, I quit working on it on September 2nd of 2005 which was the 200th strip of the comic. No hard feelings between Robert and I, I just wanted to focus on my own projects... never really felt Bored and Evil was mine, which is also why you don't see my name listed on the strips unless I wrote them.

One of my projects was the outer circle which launched on March 7th of 2005. This was the first webcomic where I had done everything from writing to artwork. This was originally suppose to launch on January 3rd, but I was not happy with Steve's character design... funny thing is it never changed. I showed long time friend Richard Kirsch (Neltark and Willie) my different sketches for Steve and then showed him what I was originally going to use, but wasn't happy with and he said "use that, that works perfectly". Well, I did and that's the Steve character known with the comic.

Originally planned to launch in September of 05', Dueling Analogs did not launch until November 17th. I always wanted a gaming comic, but didn't want to quit doing the outer circle... Dueling Analogs was my solution. I read a lot of gaming strips and I noticed that stories and character development wind up getting in the way of gaming comics and in turn these gaming comics wind up being less about gaming. See, I don't have that problem. Since I already have a comic with progressively developing characters I could focus Dueling on games and I did and I will continue too.

I've got other side projects I'm working on... none of which are webcomics, two are more than enough for me. I also plan of hitting some conventions in 07' especially ConnectiCon which I plan to be my first convention.

That's about it, its brief but gives you a glimpse of what's happened with me and webcomics. If you've got any questions, let me know...

It was that I never felt it was mine (you can see also that we have two completely different styles for humor) and that I wanted to give Robert more credit because he did the writing and the artwork.  Funny tidbit though, I did come up with the premise and the name for Bored and Evil.  Robert created the characters of which quite a few were scrapped.  When I finish putting the Bored and Evil book together it will include some of the scrapped characters and the first comic of Life with Fishnets

yes, from an artistic stand point his art reflects death killing mayhem and sex, yours on the other hand reflects death, killing, mayhem, sex, porn, god, the devil (a personal favourite of mine is your satan apperances) and the eternal struggle of peekaboo and the female spieces.

I must say though, that dueling analoges happens to have some of the best gaming comments I've come across, and read alot of these things, I have no life.
