Current mood:  thankful
As many of you may know, this year, we went on our third summer camp tour.  Last year was great, but this year was completely awesome.  As a catchup for anyone who doesn't know about the tour, we basically go to summer camps around the country and do workshops with kids and put on crazy rock concerts that let the kids perform with us in front of the whole camp (hundreds of kids).  This year, we went to 28 camps, and every single one was better than we ever could have imagined!  The kids had an amazing time, we had an amazing time, and I'm pretty sure that none of those camps had ever been rocked so hard before.

In addition to the camps and the kids being awesome, we had fantastic sponsors this year.  Our official sponsor of the tour was Polaroid, who just released a brand new product called the Polaroid POGO.  It's a pocket-sized printer that prints sticky back wallet sized photos anywhere you are, from either a digital camera (via USB) or a cell phone (via bluetooth).  We were able to have photo shoots with every bunk and let them print pictures to make a huge collage for the camp to hang up.  We also had a sweepstakes to give a POGO away at every single camp.  Polaroid was incredibly helpful in making their involvement in the tour fun for us and the kids, and added a whole new dimension onto the experience.  They also made it possible for us to give away CDs of our music and posters to every kid at every camp!

We also had an unbelievable amount of support from music sponsors, who either gave us free gear, or discounted gear to help us make the tour happen and give promotional musical items away to tons of campers.  Thank you to: Hartke, Pro Mark, Paiste, Po Boy Drums, Electro-Harmonix, Shure, Ultimate, and Ernie Ball for all the help making this the best summer camp tour to date!

We made these collages of photos at every camp we visited. All photos were taken on Polaroid cameras and printed with Polaroid PoGo's.

We made 28 photo collages this summer. They are hanging in camp dining halls across the northeast :)

A Polaroid PoGo was given away to one camper at each camp.

Sometimes you have to drive slow. But not too slow. But not too fast either...

Very tempting...
