"Waking the 4am hour words poured on Tuesday, October 20,th 2009 and since the news of Shrew's passing on the Friday before, I don't know what time I got the news, my heart overflowed, tears fell. I wanted to give thanks to our dear Shrew. Your pain has ceased my lady, your worries dispurse. God's speed to you - our faire Mother. Joining our faire Father, The Count, your noble steads forever cared for, you both are treasures for always, we will continue the faire, spirits do come, partake, see, be.
HOW can we all muster to condense life of Leslie
Some of us go back decades of time
Reveling o'er pathways of other Renaissance Faires
Proclaiming our history with delicious flare.
We all carved our role
To entertain to teach
And there is one woman who far surpassed
Whose goal we beseeched - our mentor
Our mother of faire - Leslie, dear lady
with electric dragon her steed
We'd want to pause, exchange greetings
To all that we meet, joyous days we wanted to give.
Our need was, and is , great
For us to carry on
Play faire, true hearts, give tribute
Hear Count and Shrew's song.
For they spearheaded The Shrewsbury Renaissance Faire
Raise our voices to show we care.
Our hearts are full, waterfalls of emotion
Band together faire family
Do them proud with our devotion.
I, Christine am just a small part
Of the now and the past
Since 1972 Shakespeare in the blood
Forever it will last.
Bidding farewell hard for us all
But let us do it so they
Our Shrew and Our Count
Can lovingly embrace our grateful call.

REST IN PEACE LESLIE. LOVE YOU
