To everyone,

This is Michael Drive

I am calling upon you to request that as many of you as are willing; to fast and pray until at least the end of the elections. Please don't think that I'm obligating you or anything, or that you are any less of a Christian if you don't. I just want to ask that you please join me, because of how great of a "message" it sends up to God when we do that.


We must pray diligently, and ask God to still have mercy on this country, and cause the candidate who holds the most amount of GOD'S values- to be the one elected into office.

It is going to get very dangerous for us otherwise. Man's way of doing things outside of God's plan, is ALWAYS costly, and brings regret. Sometimes it takes a while because God is SO very longsuffering.

He has blessed this nation abundantly, mostly because our founding fathers held HIS values. They created this nation as one nation under Him. Much of the constitution was constructed after biblical principles, and our laws after the ten commandments. Because of that, we have been greatly blessed. We have prevailed over our enemies. We have prospered in business, and in our economy. We are the most powerful and influential nation in the world. And all because we live under God; in God we do trust. In contrast, just look at the nations that worship other gods; they are among the poorest nations in the world. But things are changing, because of how we are conducting ourselves; in business, economically, socially, and spiritually. Right down to how the average American family conducts itself.


Things have been starting to spiral downhill for us in America. Everything that the founding fathers stood for, has been "on the way out", to be trampled under foot and hated. Their despised values are now being scoffed at, ridiculed, and utterly removed; and as the Bible puts it; "the people LOVE to have it so". The demoralization of this nation, and living for "self" and for greed is prevailing. Prayer was taken out of schools; the Bible as well. Abominations are now taught to our children as "acceptable, normal and 'alternative' lifestyles". Out of complete selfishness, murder is seen as a good "choice", as per the millions of these "choices" per year; and it's the murder of the worst kind- the shedding of INNOCENT blood: the blood of those precious babies.


From the top offices of the U.S. down to the lowest man; instead of helping each other, and our common man; and instead of simply loving each other in our everyday lives- what has prevailed, is all manner of lust and covetousness, greed, deception for gain, living only after temporary gratification, and all manner of sin and wickedness; pride, the love of pleasures, and the love of money; all of which is defined in scripture as idolatry. This is sad when this describes our own nation. Even more sad when it describes, not all, but many of our "churches". This should also scare you, because all throughout history, God has a pattern of bringing judgment when a nation has so declined. He will not always continue without consequence, to protect a nation that has become like this. It was true of Israel because of their idolatry; it was true of Sodom and Gomorroah with their lust of the flesh; and it was true of the Roman empire for the same reasons. Not to mention, that we have had people of prominence who have prophesied; God has told them that He is going to bring judgment now upon America.


That is why we need to pray, and pray hard for these elections. Not only the office of the presidency but about the propositions as well. There are some very bad ones, and there are some good ones.


The reason why fasting is important, is because in the spirit realm, when you deny your flesh (for God), your spirit gets stronger, and that kind of denial of flesh, when it's being done for spiritual reasons, really speaks loud to our God.
And how much more when a group of people are doing so in unison!

So as God's judgment is coming down on this country for our sins, I am praying that He holds back His judgment for now, and that many who are "called" by His Name will have the opportunity to hear, at least once, the WHOLE - TRUE gospel, which few people are even getting now days. Certainly not in the world, and not even in a lot of churches, just as the Bible said would happen in these last days. I'm not lumping all of the "church" into this, because there are some good ones, but considering most of the churches that I have attended in 28 years- what prevails is the "raise your hand and repeat these words after me" alter call; which never saved me and doesn't save anybody, unless the true "Words of life" from Jesus are told to them; so that they at least know, what they must do- to have Him.


Now last of all, the best part of this letter:

This is a "prayer for our nation", by either Billy Graham, or Rev. Joe Wright, I'm not sure which. I don't think I have ever been more touched by a single prayer than by this one. This short prayer is the most beautiful, poignant, relevant, wise, and to say the least, important prayer that I think I have ever heard. This shows that the writer really has a good view of what is happening to our country; and it really depicts the heart of God.
Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of the Story,' and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired! With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'One nation under God.

So finally, as many as you will, with me, let's fast, and let's pray, specifically for our leaders, our leader to be, our laws, and our nation to be ruled by the right principles, and the right leaders.


Prayer For Our Nation:

'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free.
Amen!'
