Yeah, that reviewer can go to hell on a shishkebob with his safe indie comparisons. I would hope that no one in their right mind would want to sound like Kim Deal, she sounds like a six year old. I would hope that no one in their right mind would aim to sound like someone who already has established a distinctive, unique identity as a performer. That guy is a fuckin' moron.
Sorry for the outburst, Jane, I appreciate you extracting the positive part of the review. I'm glad that people are able to grab onto Against You Both by that association. But also I'm pissed off that anybody who reads the Noise is not going to have the opportunity to make their own judgement about whether there's any problem with the singing on our record. Oh wait, no one reads the Noise! Jackpot.
