We had a good night at the Saloon ("The Rat Hole" as I call it). The place was packed all night, all 3 sets that we played. Usually crowd slowly starts to dwindle from 12:30am on and only the real lushes tend to hang on but, not tonight, the place stayed packed. The band was in fine form and sounded strong the whole night. Sometimes not playing for a couple of weeks gets you into the soul of why you play gigs on the weekends. At least for me, I was able to focus on stuff I practiced during the week and was pleased with how I sounded. Richard sounded wonderful and was very inventive on this night. quoting Beatles' "Day Tripper" riff during the band's rendition of  "Hideaway". The atmosphere of the Saloon tends to bring out a more adventuresome nature in all of us for some reason.
