Equality Illinois is urging a "no" vote about the constitution convention.

"Our Constitution is fine as is," Rick Garcia, Equality Illinois Director of Public Policy said. There is a huge danger that the drafters could write bigotry and antigay sentiments into our constitution. We can't afford that risk."

After reading Rich Miller's political columns in my local paper I had considered voting yes for a constitutional convention, but a trip to California a couple of weeks ago convinced me to vote no.
If we have a new constitutional convention here in Illinois, our state will be flooded with money and resources from hateful people and groups like these:
