So as many of you know i got married in October.  She is my very best friend and she makes me laugh.  So far married life has taught me a lot.  Im learning how to be patient, understanding, and selfless.  I have yet to even come close to mastering any of these skills, like i said I'm learning.  But it was the best decision i ever made and i couldn't be happier.   We have had to deal with a couple struggles right out of the gates, but as my mom says "this too shall pass".

Speaking of Struggles ahead....  In February i was pulled into the "Director of operations" office at the guitar shop i was working at for the last 3 and a half years, and they said "sorry but we have to let you go".  After a day or two of freaking out i realized that it was a blessing in disguise.  That job was eating me alive.  Nothing i ever did was good enough in their eyes and there was no room for advance or any kind of future.  If i have any advice for you, it is to do something you absolutely love to do for no money at all or go where you know that you will be appreciated.  Nothing feels worse than being inadequate.  And no amount of money is worth hating work.

In the month of December I could tell that the guitar shop was gonna start having trouble fist of the year and i had best start looking for something new.  Not a bad idea either seeing as how i dreaded working there.  So  I started thinking about joining  the military and went and took some tests and talked to some recruiters and finally decided to go ahead and enlist in the United States Air-force.  They offer the best lifestyle and education options of any branch.  I went to Kansas City Feb. 13th, raised my hand and swore the oath of enlistment.  I am going to be trained in aircraft electrical systems where my job will be to work on all types of planes but hopefully i'll get a specialty working on fighter jets or the huge APC's.  Its a pretty interesting career field and I'm looking forward to seeing what doors it opens for me and Lacey.

I'll Be leaving for BMT (basic training/boot camp) in a mere 18 days and i'll have to be gone from my wife, my home, my family, my dog, and my friends for a total of 6 months!!!!  Gonna suck but as soon as that parts over it should be a great experience.  I'll be back home for most of Dec. and then Jan. 2010 we will be stationed somewhere.  Lacey and i are hoping that they station us over sees somewhere (Germany, Italy, Japan).  We will find out where in August.

I'll probably put one more blog up before BMT and then do one when i get to my Tech school in August and let anybody who is interested know how BMT was.  So stay posted.
