thefancydressparty would like to wish all our friends, far and wide a very happy introduction into 2009!

2008 has been an exciting year for us for many reasons: Firstly, we welcomed a sixth member into the group in the form of Mary-Jane Latimer, we really feel that she has added a lot to the band, both with her tremendous musical talent and knowledge, alongside with her cheerful and kind hearted personality, for this we thank her.


Also, we have played as many gigs as possible in 2008 (giving that half the band are currently at University) which built our relationship as a band aswell as helping our music spread through many towns and cities in the Essex area. We are truly grateful for people's support and kind feedback.


In addition to all of this, I apologise if I am dragging this on a bit but I must mention the wonderful support that many have shown us by purchasing our CD's that we have had on offer and will continue to do so in 2009. From the money we have made, Trefor and myself we were able to pay back our Pops for allowing us to use his printer ink and paper. Also, we have bought a few more instruments that have really helped to enhance our sound, this includes the gigantic double bass that will be featuring in our live shows on Friday 2nd January at Chinnery's in Southend and at our final gig of the winter season, The Barhouse in Chelmsford on the 3rd, both events will be kicking off at around 8pm if you are intesrested in coming along.
