Current mood:Fuckin' Rocked Out!!!
I think mostly wrestling fans and fellow Jerichoholics will get a kick out of reading this........ but anyways, just like the title says, Chris Jericho took over MTV's Headbanger's Ball and hosted it like a knowlegeable pro. He took over the show from regular host Jamey Hasta of the band Hatebreed. For those who don't know, Headbanger's Ball is an MTV show, on MTV2 to be exact. It's all about heavy metal videos, and Rock & Roll......... it's anti rap, anti hip-hop, anti pop......... and it will kick your ass!! So Y2J was there basicly to promote their 3rd album called 'All That Remains' and their video premeire of 'Enemy' (awsome song - playing in the background as you are reading this), the video version that they showed was slightly edited. He even said that this song was the one of the top 10 most downloaded videos on Ifilms.com Jericho was being himself the whole show, he introduced himself as somebody else (I forget who, sorry), but then said he was kidding. He even came up w/ his own ideas for the show. He renamed the show to HBB (Headbanger's Ball), so that MTV can put HBB on t-shirts, mugs, stickers, hats, bracletes, and ofcourse he should be getting paied for the royalties, since it was his idea. he also wanted to revamp the Headbanger's Ball set by making it "Space Age" filled w/ beer and blue girls, whatever that means. He was funny too, before introducing the Motley Crue video 'If I Die Tomorrow', he called the band hot chicks except for guitarist Mick Mars who is an ugly chick. HAHA He also introduced every video like a pro, by giving a brief history of the band or the song, or just a story, and comparing his band Fozzy w/ whatever video was showing. He introduced the band 'No Warning' by saying, "They are a fellow Canadian band, like myself Chris Jericho, YAY CANADA!" He was great, every metal/Jericho fan should get the new Fozzy cd 'All That Remains', it is a great metal album, full of hard hits, hard riffs, hard solos, and ofcourse, hard vocals, all thanx to Y2J Chris Jericho!!! "Enemy" is the first single off of their album 'All That Remains', which is in many ways is Fozzy's debut record even though it's really their third. The CD was produced by Rick Beato (Shinedown, Charlie Mars, Ingram Hill) and features guest performances by guitar legends Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society), Marty Friedman (ex-Megadeth), and Mark Tremonti (Creed, Alter Bridge). Gold-record-selling rap artist Bone Crusher also makes a special guest appearance on the record. The songs on ATR are all original and they're the best they've ever done and that's no story. The feedback, quite frankly was amazing! Everyone from Zakk Wylde to Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci to Marty Friedman, Howard Stern to Mike Piazza, Michael Sweet to Dan Donegan, Bruce Kulick to Mike Inez loved what they heard and they were very vocal in letting that be known. There were so many great reactions, that they collected them all and used them in the print ads that they placed in the magazines that they advertised in. That's all i've got to say. So this was my saturday night....I stayed in tonight. well actually, I'm going out now, 12am, sheesh............ Tomorrow i'm going to Niagara Falls, which should be good since it will finally be a nice sunny day.....WOOHOO!!! Later dudes!!! Oh ya, one more thing........ I have something to tell to all wrestling fans reading this. This is BIG news regarding Wreslermania XXI. Nobody knows about this yet cuz WWE is keeping this as a total surprise, but I have the BIG scoop. Don't even bother looking for this on any wrestling site on the internet cuz you won't. ANYWAYS........................... I hope that by now, most of you know of the band Motorhead. Yes, the same band that does Triple H's entrance theme, and as well as Evolution's Theme. Motorhead will perform at Wrestlemania this year, most likely performing the Evolution theme. How do I know this? I wish i can tell you, sorry...............You can watch Wrestlemania XXI live only on PPV on April 3, 2005. Motorhead has performed once before on the Wrestlemania main stage at Wrestlemania XXVII performing Triple H's theme song while he was coming out to face the Undertaker, it was an amazing moment, and this year's should be better!!! So back to the Jericho/Fozzy thing. here are the lyrics for the new Fozzy single called Enemy (which is playing in the background as you are reading this). Do you remember me You can't see the things That make me who I am You'll never understand And I gotta keep moving, you're living off my sweat Moving, the devil's on my back And these are the days that I dreamed about And you're always there to remind me You're my enemy All that we had has gone away There are times that fade away But you'll still be my enemy The friend you had in me You turned on so easily I'm sad to see you go At least now I know And I see clearly now You tried to bleed me And I see clearly now You tried to feed on me
