There are a few more reviews coming in for our "Kissing Jocelyn" CD. Here goes.
This one is from Brazil! Here's the translation:
The edges of the power pop were always something difficult of be outlining. Principally on account of the styles which it borders, and with which, not rare, it unites, it becomes mixed and finishes by creating a characteristic sound. Points of contact that in his sinergia produce the power pop: the tradition of the rock, the docility of pop sessentista and the energy of the punk rock. And there is exatamente this final product that defines the Nice Outfit punk rock. ..:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
The band of Milwaukee, led by Terry Hackbarth and Paul James Wall - also members of the veteran group Trolley - comes with his new EP of four songs, Kissing Jocelyn. What does it get classic pop summarizes in less than ten minutes the concept of power. Beginning for the title track, with bright and straight guitars, melody ganchuda and constant radiation of adrenalin. " This Team Next Year " impresses already in the entry with his involving riff, correcting in the pressure of a resonant mass that flows into an adhesive refrain.
More distortion, energy flowing and chorus of configuration pop: " On Minute Forty-Five ". Perhaps the crossroad of influences that better could define the sound of Nice Outfit is between Kinks and Buzzcocks - what it is clear in the last belt " He Don't Want You Know ".
And Jocelyn's kiss left a gostinho of I want more...
And here's another from a cool U.K. mod site called Soho Strut.

Review - Kissing Jocelyn CD-EP (Easter Records)
This four track EP by The Nice Outfit is a high energy offering of maximum power pop, a rampage full of melody, hooks and attitude. Opening track 'Kissing Jocelyn' is a pop gem with 12 string riffs, jangly hooks and great harmonies. This upbeat Beatlesque pop tune is a real delight.
a crazy guitar pop tune
'This Time Next Year', with its choppy guitars and pile driving rhythm, is one hell of powered up pop tune with plenty of emphasis on power and speed. The crashing chords and catchy chorus, makes for a crazy guitar pop tune with a big pair of bollocks. 'One Minute Forty-Five' continues in the frantic vein, where this super fast tune races along with harmonies and guitar hooks aplenty , a pop explosion. Final track 'He Don't Want You Now' finishes off this superb EP in style. The 60s style garage chords in the verse collide with the huge catchy pop chorus, kicking it out with attitude and melody, great stuff. Check out The Nice Outfit, they have a horde of top tunes.
