My wife just got a MySpace account and she is using it to connect to old friends. Personally, I know that it is just a way for the makers of MySpace to put advertisements where people will see them.

MySpace is for simpletons, who don’t know how to get a real blog or even something like Blogger or LiveJournal. I don’t get it. Our family has a real blog at www.justmanfamily.com where we can post pictures of our boys  and such. We pay for hosting and for a domain name. (Gladly because ad-supported websites suck.) Why she would need a MySpace is beyond me, so I’ve gotten one to see what the hype is about... so far, I am not much impressed.

I think though, it is mostly for connecting with friends, but isn’t that what e-mail and phones are for? I guess I’ll see.
