Over the past five years, globalFEST has become the U.S.'s leading showcase event for artists performing a huge range of styles from around the world. Working alongside the annual Association of Performing Arts Presenters, globalFEST has helped to bring dozens of emerging international musicians to North America . The festival has sold out each year, allowing a mix of music industry professionals and global music aficionados to rub shoulders with up-and-coming artists on three separate stages.
At the 2008 globalFEST, twelve artists will perform over the course of the night with a wide variety of nations, ethnicities, styles, and tempos represented. globalFEST is organized by The Public Theater (NYC), World Music Institute (NYC), and World Music/CRASHarts (Boston).
