That being said, the mixtape has been coming along, slowly but surely. Right now my focus is finishing off the recording for a few tracks, a little challenging without my own home set up. Once all the tracks are actually recorded completely, some have to be sent off to producers in other places to get mixed, which anyone who has ever been involved in music can attest, usually takes longer than usual. Plus, no offense, underground hip hop kids are not always the most punctual and organized bunch. Still, I'm so excited to unveil this project. It feels like years of work have slowly been building this thing from the ground up. I ain't no pre-fabricated starlet with major label etiquette, I'm doing this trueschool.

What I'm getting at here is the June 20th deadline I'd originally anticipated as a release date is looking a little unrealistic. I haven't rushed anything this far, why start now? I want to make sure everything is just so before I unleash the heat. This release will include tracks previously released on a number of albums and compilations as well as stuff that has never been heard before, with the exception of some live performances. Slow and steady wins the damn race, right? Have some serious recording sessions and a photoshoot coming up this month so things are definitely underway.
