Well for those who may have or have not been following, YaMama'Nym has been going through a "metamorphosis". We've had some changes and some more changes.then some changes back then some changes again. ANYWAY, FINALLY the band has settled and back in GREAT FORM...better than ever...AND THE Metamorphosis is OVER (for now...lol)

DURING this time we have still been doing what we are best at CREATING music. We have yet to have any of it leak from the studio but as we get closer to the release of the new album I guess it's about time.

First up is a song that we started almost a year ago...

We redid "YOU STILL ARE"...A fan favorite from the first album (2 A.M.). The original will always be a classic, the instrumentation was really raw and Myra and Alison did outstanding on the vocals...But we wanted to refine the instrumentation and also wanted to work with a guest to get their "spin" on the vocals....Who better than our good friend Wayna. Another thing was; this was always supposed to be a male/female duet so we also accomplished that in this version with lead vocalist KJ Dennis. Finally we brought in another great friend and ASSET Stephanie Matthews on strings (yes that's real strings) to arrange and play on the tune...

While this is not the return to SOUL that we promise will come thru on the new album it still is a reminder of the Jazzy sound that will still be the constant and defining soung of YaMama'Nym....Thanks and stay tuned
