As of right now, we have 12 songs set up in rough cut form. One of them is even MOSTLY done! There are 5 ready to go and I still am praying about the other 3. I am horrible at making decisions, because not only does my emotional, creative side constantly with my logical thought processes, but I find it easy to either be too blunt or to afraid of stepping on people's toes. I really want to find a balance, not only in my life, but also in this project.
So, I'm listening to the rough cuts, thinking about what I want to do differently with my vocals while I type this. I have no doubt that this project will be the best one yet. There is something for everyone without compromising what I'm wanting to say through song.
We've had someone from Indonesia steal my previous web-site out from under me, so I had switch it to www.erisareimusic.com. I don't have a web-site up and running yet, but I'm working on it. I got a Mac and that makes it pretty easy to create a decently cool one.
In the next month and a half or so, we're having Erik Ferguson come in from DC to record his vocals. AND! Chuck Dennie has agreed to sing a duet with me on one of the songs! I'm super-excited that he's so willing to do this for me. He has a great worship CD out called "Not Shaken"....I play it in my van often. It's very anointed- check it out!
Well, that's it for now. I was a real spazz in the studio the other night. We got some clips of me church dancing in the studio....I don't know if they'll make the cuts! HA! ;) I'll keep you updated periodically as we get more done. For now I'm in a period of heart-searching and writing for the next couple of weeks. I'm hoping to get some clear direction for the last 3 songs to pick.
OH! And my baby boy is 9 months today! That's CRAZY!
