Current mood:  awake

So those of you that have hung out with me for any period of time know that I have a crazy sneeze.  This is not something I work at, in fact it's something that I tried to fix a while back and failed.  My dad always thought I was faking the sneeze for attention.  When I do sneeze it tends to be drawn out and particularly powerful.  I suppose that's just the way I'm built.
So fate would have it that this morning I found myself sitting on one of the explosive crates counting my cash take for the weekend.  While I sat there counting a thunderstorm started.  Sure I was pretty safe for the most part, but the stage is old and drafty.  When the wind blows, it still penetrates the green room, as well as the rain.
My nose started to run, and I felt the usual build up of a sneeze.  So there is this build up then the almost orgasmic relief of the sneeze.  Just at the perfect moment when I blinked for the sneeze a lightning bolt struck so close that even being indoors with no windows and my eyes closed I still saw a flash.  There was an almost deafening thunder clap and the power went out.
The timing and sensory feedback was just right so that at first I thought I had caused an aneurism when I sneezed.  "Oh God, I'm blind!"
Then the thought that maybe lightning hit the explosives in the room for just a second.
Almost as fast as it happened the power went back on, but the experience was profound.
A little while later I noticed my cell phone was acting weird.  I took the battery out and it still stayed on for a little while.
I'm alive and well.  Just a little freaked out.

Lighting struck at faire more than once...ask the old-timers on Cast. Be careful, My Friend! I almost called you & Dreamie this morning since we live down the street. Our sirens went off this morning/tornados in the area (Ellis County) but none touched down.

Also for the record... I am also not "wired right" for sneezes... ask me sometime.
