Each November the Napa Valley town of Calistoga hosts a two-day blues festival that features some of the best of the North Bay blues bands, coupled with wine tasting, at downtown locations and at participating vineyards: The schedule is as follows:
Saturday, November 7 -
From 1pm-7pm our walkable downtown will become a veritable blues club with Chateau Montelena, Dutch Henry Winery, Envy Winery, Grant Street Vineyards, Lava Vine Vineyards, Silver Rose Cellars, Solovino Wines, Tristant Vineyards and Twomey Cellars among others providing wine accompaniments to the riffs and licks of eight live bands. Music will fill the streets as you stroll from one end of town to the other tasting some of the valley’s finest wine and listening to the blues sounds of bands such as Mick Martin, Tia Carroll, Andy Just, Volker Strifler with guests Lou & the Blues from Siena, Italy among many others.Voted Napa Valley's Best Music Festival by the 2008 Bohemian Readers' Poll!
Sunday November 8- On Sunday, the music goes out to the wineries for Blues in the Vineyards:Take a free shuttle to Dutch Henry Winery, Envy Winery, Lava Vine Vineyards, Madrigal Vineyards and Silver Rose Cellars where you'll be able to taste their fine wines while listening to hot blues bands, among them being; Sugar G. Robinson, Jeff Johnson and Dennis Hubert from noon-5pm. Weekend hotel and festival packages will be available through participating hotels. Saturday tickets are $25/per person(can be shared), Sunday passport is $35/per person and Weekend pass is $50/per person.
