Just wanted to take a minute to say how f'ed up it is that Prop 8 passed. I feel very embarrassed to live in a country that thinks it's okay to deny it's citizens their human rights. I'm going to protest at City Hall here in NYC this Sat, Nov 15th. Hope to see some of you there.

Sending luv in this time of frustration!!!
Hesta Prynn, Ph.D.

I wish more people in the world thought like Hesta Prynn.

I wish I lived in NYC, but my friends will be there.

I saw you girls in Providence a long time ago. You all signed my cast. I am currently a california resident and have been protesting the Passing of Prop 8. Glad to here that the East Coast and Northern State is participating too. Thanks! Chief.

I feel the anger as well.
I have the unfortunate fortune to work under some people that donated from out of state through their church congregations. It's quite a feat coming to work and not wanting to ask why they feel it's ok to be so discriminatory.
We must keep up the fight....

I really can feel your frustration !! I think it's very sad that so many peeps voted 'yes'. I CAN'T understand that !!!!! It's so depressing to live in Germany these days and to be unable to go to any of the protests .... I promise, I'll be with you in my mind.

I wish I could. I protested prop 102 here in AZ a couple weeks ago. It passed as well. It's ridiculous that this issue (which should be such a non-issue) keeps going back and fourth. Some day.

I can not believe myself that this is STILL an issue. I thought for sure that this measure would NOT pass here in California, and equality would be assured for all. But it didn't, and I am shocked. I can not wait for the day when this is behind us and everyone can share in the joy of marriage, no matter who you want to be married to.

You should all read what the Quins have to say about it all. They are amazing.

If I weren't on the other side of the country, I would join you. But I'm going to a protest rally here in San Diego. Twice. Hopefully.
Good luck!

protesting will do about as much as protesting obama winning the election. the majority of the people voted for it. it's a done deal. like it or not, we're stuck with prop 8 and obama.

It is sad that not only california but three other states passed anti gay legislation. You can get involved through the HRC in fighting prop 8

Hopefully the protests today will make a difference; I wish I could've made it down there, but the weather is not cooperating. Well, anyway, best wishes to you all.
