Help stop the violence of the hunts here today:
http://www.heartofthewolf.org/source.html

Here is the latest in news folks.

1) With the tragedies unfolding in wolf hunts,
it can clearly be shown that wolves cannot be
delisted. It would be no different than delisting
the rights of humans and allow people to do whatever
they want. It's an absurd concept, and although
some like Doug Smith (of the Yellowstone
Wolf Recovery Program) would consider this 'polarizing'.

We beg to differ.

Especially since we advocate peace between both humans
and wolves and the strict use of non lethal methods to
prevent livestock depredations by wolves.

Hunting has shown tragedies. 27 wolves shot dead in Idaho,
a wolf pack from Yellowstone gunned down recently, and
more.

And now plans are being written for a plan on the road
to delisting in Washington. Once again the show of a
comment period and wolf working groups that is a coverup
for a false, illegal, quick delisting so wolves can be
shot has begun again.

http://www.thenewstribune.com/news/northwest/story/914484.html

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife is having a
three-month comment period on the plan with
a dozen meetings around the state, including one in Richland on Oct. 21.

This meeting is from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Pacific Northwest National
Laboratory auditorium, 904 Battelle Blvd. Use mapquest to get
to it. You must stand up for wolves there!

The plan on this is at:
http://wdfw.wa.gov/wildlife/management/gray_wolf/

You can submit your comments here:
http://wdfw.wa.gov/wildlife/management/gray_wolf/mgmt_plan.html

Oppose the plan. What it will be is just run of the mill. The oppression
and destruction of wolves in livestock issues, followed by the delisting
of wolves which will lead to hunts and loss.

Until wolves are respected as we are, that non lethal methods only
are used in livestock issues, and wolves aren't hunted, can we agree to
anything. We cannot compromise the rights of wolves. I don't think these
wildlife agencies would compromise the rights of their mothers, fathers,
daughters, or sons. I also don't think they would willingly pull the
plug on someone they love either, or let them die intentionally that is
human. But with a wolf they can justify that, which is wrong. This is
a chronic problem and must end also.

Contact your politicians and media also about this at:
http://www.heartofthewolf.org/MediaGovernmentContacts.htm

2) Quotas may soon change for the Montana Wolf hunts after the
slaughter of the pack originally from Yellowstone..

http://cbs4denver.com/wireapnewswy/Wolf.quota.could.2.1242943.html

3) Here is an article about a debate raging over how the money
used for people wanting to hunt wolves may turn out to be spent,
studies for false science.

4) Also a wolf pack was annihilated in Oregon.

http://animalrights.change.org/blog/view/1_of_only_3_wolf_pairs_killed_in_oregon_--_for_ranchers_for_us

Is this the future for wolves? Still hunted, no matter what happens?

Thanks to Ann for the tip.

5) A great site for people to visit, is Wolfsource.org. It has news, and links
about wolves and wolf-dogs, and other information you should check out.

6) If the new director of the USFWS gets his way, wolves will be
in danger even more than ever before. They will be delisted in the
Great Lakes, and we will have to lead the charge to fight again
to halt the slaughter once again.

http://www.fox21online.com/news/federal-official-wants-states-manage-grey-wolves

As we said, government agencies aren't looking out for wolves,
but special interest groups once again. And the results have continued, bloodshed
and those who hate and fear wolves get their way, justified.

Especially since 47 wolves are dead in Idaho, which the Idaho Fish and
Game is justifying it as calling the murders quite low. It doesn't
matter, no one has the right to take the life of a wolf.

And the Montana hunts continue too.

 Linda Jo..email:  WolfPawMountain@gmail.com

Owner has Multiple Sclerosis and can no longer care for this gorgeous, SWEET girl.
Owner will help transport to the Arizona border if necessary to place this precious girl!
Totally domesticated, but also loves the outdoors. Love hiking and camping!!

Timber is four years old, spayed, perfectly behaved in the house, does not run off during a hike.

http://i466.photobucket.com/albums/rr28/lonewolflover/WNHAZTimber3.jpg

Timber has never killed anything, she gets along with big & small dogs and cats. Timber loves horses
and has a lot of experience being around horses.  She also loves people,  but can be initially a little
afraid of young men,  but will quickly make friends with them if they take the time to get to know her.

Timber needs needs 6 ft high fencing with hot wire or lean in. She likes to cruise the neighborhood when
bored but this may be remedied with a big wuffer to play with and keep her company,
she has given no indication of digging.

Timber is about 50 lbs.  Great on horseback rides, great in the car…loves car rides and is great on a leash.
Loves kids.

This is one sweet, exceptional girl!!!

HANDSOME 8 MO. OLD WOLFDOG LOBO IN FL SHELTER NEEDS HOME OR FOSTER

Please contact Jody: jo_willett@yahoo.com

http://www.flickr.com/photos/jo_through_the_looking_glass/3967372732

This handsome young man is currently in a shelter and needs a permanent or foster home.

He is approx. 8 months old.  He is sociable with people and dogs, cats are an unknown.
The shelter worker has indicated he is submissive and obedient and just a sweet boy overall.
He is UTD with shots. Location: FLORIDA

You must be able to provide secure containment!

He may be pulled by a 501(C)(3) rescue group.  For all others, please request an adoption application or
advise that one is on file.

Let's find this boy a good home!

PLEASE ALSO JOIN OUR NEW WOLFDOG RESCUE SITE:  http://www.wolfdogs.ning.com

please volunteer by emailing:  kfcwolfkaren@gmail.com and or wolfsunka@yahoo.com

3) NC *GORGEOUS WOLFDOG KENO* NEEDS HOME NOW! PLZ REPOST

Keno is a magnificent boy is so many ways.  He is fairly slow to trust but once he does,
he will look to you to protect him.  He is food motivated to learn to trust so food is the
way to this boys heart.  Keno is neutered and uptodate on vaccinations.
TO HELP KENO::  email Karen at kfcwolfkaren@gmail.com or
                                          Cathy at cathymb@bellsouth.net

http://s207.photobucket.com/albums/bb72/kfcwolf/?action=view¤t=NCKeno.jpg

Take a look at this upper mid-content husky mix that needs a loving home and a female companion
to keep him company when you can't be there.  Strong containment is required for him as with most
wolfdogs of his content.  Do your research as they do require more raw meat, attention and
entertainment than our domestic breeds.  Keno is a very intelligent gentle boy.

4) SC-HANDSOME *WOLFDOG* ORION NEEDS HOME ASAP SC-HANDSOME WOLFDOG ORION
NEEDS HOME ASAP Needs a new home ( through no fault of his own) ASAP.I am a sweet, gentle senior
male in the 8 to 9 year range. RESCUE Contact:Jayne By Email: thegreywolf@tds.net
http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb72/kfcwolf/cute_little_Orion.jpg

He is good with people and even does great at the vet's! He is usually a laid back little guy,
although he'll bark and run in circles if he thinks you're coming to pet, walk, or feed him.
He's very charming and mannerly with his canine girlfriend; lets her check out both food bowls
and decide on one before he tries to eat, and when she pretends to have puppies (stuffed animals)
and holes up with them, he patiently stands guard at the mouth of the den.

He is excited to see other dogs but does not act aggressive towards them. He DOES stalk and
charge at cats, so can NOT live with smaller animals. Loves to walk on a leash but does not
have much for leash manners so you have to hang on! Fortunately he is on the smallish side
for a wolfdog, perhaps 60-70 pounds, and is probably mixed with husky and shepherd. He has
plenty of energy and love left in him, if someone wanted to give an older boy a chance.

He lives in the south east part of the country. Is an outside boy and I doubt if he is housebroken.
Would be a terrific companion and pen mate for a sweet older girl.

8) COLORADO WOLFDOG BEAUTY NEEDS HOME!

If you are interested in adopting Arrora, please contact:

FreedomsSongWolfRescue@gmail.com

Arrora is a beautiful young possible low content wolfdog who has been taken into foster
care in Colorado, but will soon need her forever home. Arrora is about 1 1/2 years old,
and was with her family since she was 8 weeks old. Her family fell into difficult times financially
and medically, and they were forced to give up Arrora.

(HoW's view: How could you give up your wolf-dog? It is a member of your family. You woudn't
give up your son or daughter if you fell into hard times would you? It's the idea that animals
still are a lower rate than humans that gives a result like this. I would sell all of my possessions
rather than give up any of my family members that are pets..)

http://s287.photobucket.com/albums/ll160/FreedomsSong/Other/?action=view¤t=Arrora2.jpg

So far Arrora seems to get along great with people and other dogs. She is being house trained,
but will also need a securely fenced yard.

If you are interested in adopting Arrora, please contact:
